Tamira is
coached by Roland Santos. She travels with her father, Ariff
Mohamed (Tanzanian-born, Kenya-raised and lived in Canada).
Her mother's name is Françoise Paszek, who introduced her to
tennis at the age of 4 (Chilean-born, Austrian-raised). She
has one brother, Joel (four years her junior). Tamira enjoys
playing on all surfaces. She speaks German, English and
French and will soon start Spanish. Her favourite foods
include Italian, Mexican and Japanese. Her favourite place
to visit is Brazil. She describes herself as friendly, calm,
honest and hard-working. She enjoys spending time at home
with her family. For her the favourite things about being a
tennis player include the travel, competing against the
world's best players and having the chance to fulfil her
dreams.
